Montreal Steak Ribeye with Garlic Herb Butter

Type: Main Dish (Steak)
Use of Montreal Steak: Used to season the steak and as a topping with the garlic herb butter.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1.5 inches thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Montreal Steak seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Rub both sides of the ribeye steaks with olive oil and coat them evenly with Montreal Steak seasoning mix.
  3. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a different level of doneness.
  4. While the steaks cook, prepare the garlic herb butter by mixing softened butter, chopped parsley, thyme, minced garlic, and lemon zest (if using) in a small bowl.
  5. Once the steaks are done, let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  6. Top each steak with a dollop of garlic herb butter, allowing it to melt into the steak for added flavor.
